Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital follows the sports world offered condolences for the star in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
