This event caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
