The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete boasts considerable online following
Kai Trump can count on multiple well-known backers as she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."
"He essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple most prominent players in the sport at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, particularly with younger fans.
Kai maintains a massive following and recently launched an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
