FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
