American-Palestinian Adolescent Freed Following Nine-Month Period in Israeli Imprisonment

A American-Palestinian teenager having endured nine months in Israel's custody absent formal charges gained freedom.
Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest in February within the occupied West Bank, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida for allegedly throwing stones against settlement residents, claims he consistently denied.
United States authorities said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.

"Currently, we're concentrating on providing Mohammed with prompt healthcare he requires following exposure to harsh conditions and brutal treatment for months."
US officials stated they would maintain to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, demanding more be done to release him.
Mohammed's parent, with four children operating an ice cream shop from Florida, previously claimed Mohammed acknowledged allegations about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen or communicated with his son following the detention, and only heard about his son's condition via legal paperwork.
The teenager remained without charge in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.
Additionally housing mature inmates, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations and murder.
There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
